The Aran Islands league will start in December for all Kids aged 8 The clubs involved in The Aran Islands League are:
The league will have three sections: Inis Mor (Comprising of A-teams) Inis Meain (Comprising of B-teams) Inis Oirr (Comprising of C-teams) It is expected that people will field their best team in the Inis Mor league and that the Inis Meain and Inis Oirr will cater for weaker players. Rules ----- 1. Games will be 7-aside 2. Can swap on and off subs as often as you like. 3. Games will be of two halves with 25 minutes in each half.   However, if teams feel that 25mins is too long, they can   agree between themselves to shorten the match. 4. Home teams to provide ref (but away team is obliged to help if   needed, because of 3 games going on in parrallel). 5. If one side hammering another, leading side is obliged to change   their team so as to even things out. 6. Shin Guards MUST BE WORN. 7. Games to be set-up between clubs and results emailed to me. 8. Idea is to have one game a month and you just need to get your   game played in that month. So, we're flexible on exactly when you   play the match in that month, once it is played in that month. Directions to Craughwell Pitch:
Travelling to Craughwell From Galway The pitch is located one mile on the Galway side of Craughwell and is on the right hand side of the main road as you travel from Galway to Craughwell. As you approach Craughwell, you will come over a brow of a hill, beyond which the road sweeps down into Craughwell. However, just as you come over the brow of the hill, there is a turn right. There are two houses on either side of this right turn, so that is a good marker. You should also be able to see the floodlights from the main road, so this is another good marker. You need to take this right turn and the pitch is about 200yards down this road on the left hand side. We have a car park opposite the pitch (i.e. 200 yards down this road, but on the right hand side). You can park in there.
